Artistic director of Teatro Pachuco since 1982, Rudi Galindo mixes silent movie, clowning and his passion for Mexican-American culture in his physical plays. He is co-founding member of Los Payasos Mendigos from 1993 to 2000, with whom he participated in more than 100 performances in 12 countries, and of clownswithoutborders.org which offers free performances and theater workshops to indigenous communities in the south of Mexico, to Bhutanese refugees in Nepal and to poor people in Soweto in South Africa.
Actor and collaborator of the award-winning production Feedback which has more than a hundred performances between 2007 and 2011 in 10 European countries. Rudi won the Grand Prix at the 2005 Ghent International Street Theater Festival and the Silver Medal at the La Merce Festival in Barcelona, Spain in 2004 for his solo show Just Passing Thru . He received the award for the best musical performance for children in Europe in 2010 for Feedback, third place at the Rotterdam International Street Theater Festival in 2000 for Circo Payaso. The show Esperando la Luna was voted best circus show in 2010 by StrratTheater .net. Rudi was also awarded the Jury Prize at the Festival International du Saxophoniste d’Occasion.
